Weekly Written Analysis 1

For my weekly written analysis, I have chosen Michael Moore as a popular culture figure. Mr. Moore is a documentary film maker.I have seen his film, Sicko. I was astonished in how much abuse was going on in the health care in America. Mr. Moore did a documentary on how health care is free in Canada,France,England, and even Cuba. In his film, he uses real American's effected by the lack of quality health care. I choose this because, it is has been a real debate with all the town hall meetings and debates on capital hill. In my opinion, I feel that this a real problem in America. To everyday Americans and on capital hill, they are all wondering in how is this going to get payed for. There are apparently 45 million people without quality health care. That is a lot of people that could benefit from this. In the Film Sicko, Mr. Moore shows a women that has Kaiser HMO and he explains how Kaiser denied her daughter treatment because it was not in one of thier own hospitals. Mr. Moore shows three 9/11 first responders that are denied proper care because they do not fall under certain rules. In my analysis of this film, health care is a growing problem and it will continue to grow until someone does something about it.
